PHILOSOPHY
I am interested in providing children of all abilities an opportunity to learn and enjoy the piano in a comprehensive program that includes many musical activities. I have taught music for children since 1961 in public and private schools, churches, and independent studios and am active in music teaching organizations.

MUSIC STUDIO IN WAYZATA
Students are in elementary, middle school, and senior high. Beginners learn note reading using method books, folk song arrangements, and the Suzuki piano method, book 1. When students can read notes, they work technical skills, classical music, jazz, and theory to prepare for MMTA exams.
- 30-minute individual weekly lessons
- 30-minute music lab -- written work, music history, computer programs
- students need a piano or keyboard at home with 88 keys and pedal
- regular home practice is necessary for good progress
- three terms (fall, winter, spring) of 11 lessons, lab, and a program
- summer lessons optional
- lesson schedule -- weekdays 3:00 to 6:00, Saturdays 8:30 to noon
